The spirit of KPM, DeWolfe & I Marc 4, distilled in a garage in Leeds, returns for another round.

The funky, atmospheric output of labels like DeWolfe and KPM has inspired ATA Records, evident in the works of The Sorcerers and The Yorkshire Film & Television Orchestra.

It was natural for ATA Records to create their own Library music, resulting in last year’s "The Library Archive Vol. 1," featuring stalwart musicians from the label.

Receiving praise from Library aficionado Shawn Lee and Alan Hawkshaw, a follow-up was inevitable. Recorded in Autumn 2020, "The Library Archive Vol. 2" continues the focus on European Library music, highlighting the organ work of I Marc 4.

Opening track ‘The Glass Eye’ features a tense bass riff and haunting organ melody. ‘Mosey Rambler’ is more amiable, while ‘Windie Man’ evokes 70s sporting highlights. 'Ice Cool' adds vocal elements, and ‘Cleared For Launch’ ascends into the atmosphere, ending with ‘Swamp Cat’ referencing Johnny Hawksworth’s theme to ‘Roobarb’.

‘Fight Or Fuzz’ followed by the Addam’s Familyesque ‘Mysterious Manor’. The energetic ‘Push & Go’ suits detective stories, while ‘Sensed Presence’ carries an otherworldly tone. ‘The Actuator’ picks up momentum before ‘Going Galactic’ closes the LP.

Each track is crafted with an ear for authenticity, using the same techniques as the music that inspired it.
